IT wakes up to simulation

In our recent simulation survey we found that 65% of IT professionals plan to increase their use of business simulation and modelling in the next 12 months to achieve greater productivity despite dwindling budgets. IT is striving to increase process automation as a major priority to boost productivity, customer care and visibility of key data.

This is one of the benefits of the slowdown that IT departments are having to reach back to the business to both justify their existence and deliver value, in some so its protectionist as well as opportunistic. Maybe this is the real catalyst for bridging the business ßà IT divide that has existed for too long!
